JONESBORO — Ralph Oakes, 83, of Jonesboro died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008.
He was a member of St. John Baptist Church and active in the community.
Survivors include his wife, Florida of the home; sons, Anthony Johnson of New Albany, Miss., and John White and Paul White, both of Lubbock, Texas; daughters, Regina Wilson and Flora Brown, both of Jonesboro, and Claudia Lane and Mary White, both of Lubbock; sister, Jennie Oakes of Reno, Nev.; 28 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. John Baptist with the Rev. Charles Latham officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery directed by Woodard Funeral Service of Jonesboro. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
