Roy Lee Melson was born in Prague,Lincoln County,Oklahoma on November 30,1909 to Erney Mitchell Melson & Annie Bell Carter.Roy had three brothers and one sister.One brother died after 11 days. Roy married Audie Ina Green August 14,1930 , Durant,Oklahoma.Her parents were William Jacob Green & Ina Freeman.Roy and Audie had 5 children.Billy Wayne,Wyvonia Irene(Sissy),Shirley Ann,Ronny Lee,and Hope Darlene.Roy Lee moved with his family to California in the 1940s.He worked 6 weeks in the stockyard in SF ,went home to Oklahoma got his family and moved to The central valley area of California.He spent most of the rest of his life farming grapes in Sanger for Leonard Brothers.
