Mrs. Addie J. Jackson Jones, 92, was born October 2, 1918 in Anderson, SC and raised in Asheville, NC. She departed this life to be with her Father in Heaven on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph (Doc) Jones; parents, Artie and Celester Jones; a son, Waymon Jackson who was of Miami, FL; brothers, Clyde, Ulysses and William (Willie) Jones; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Estelle Jones.
Surviving are her son, Edward Jackson (Adrienne); daughters, Jo Alice Ruff (Walter) of Asheville and Gladys White (Kenneth) of Ocoee, FL; daughter-in-law Mary Jackson of Miami, FL. In addition to her children, there are 14 grandchildren, 30+ great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Marci Duty; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The service will be held at 2pm Monday in Biltmore Church of Christ, 823 Fairview Street. Brother Matt Goodman will officiate. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery
