I am Daniel Griffin's great-great grandson. Daniel Griffin originally served in the 15th Alabama Infantry, Company G during the Civil War. But, was sent home due to illness. He later re-enlisted in the 45th Alabama Infanty regiment and saw combat action. He was wounded in the Battle of Chicamauga, Georgia in September 1863.
