WINAMAC - Beulah E. Strong Keyes, 94, of 801 N. Monticello St., passed away at 8:30 AM Thursday, February 14, 2008, in her residence. She was born August 22, 1913, in Walnut Prairie, IL, to Reuben and Effie Sheets Dancey. She was married to Paul Strong on July 11, 1933, in Winamac. He died May 30, 1976. She then married Harold Keyes in 1980. He died in 1983. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star #96, both of Winamac. She had been employed at Miller's Ladies Store for several years. Survivors include Janet S. Hansell, Winamac, IN, daughter; Jan (Rich) McIlvain, Winamac, IN, and Jill A. Kloppenburg, Hammond, IN, granddaughters; Robert Kloppenburg, Highland, IN, Zachariah Norris, Aurora, IL, Andrew Norris, Aurora, IL, and Samuel Norris, Great Lakes Naval Station, IL, great-grandsons; Heidi Kloppenburg, Hammond, IN, great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by Reuben Dancey, father; Effie Sheets Dancey, mother; Paul Strong, first husband, and Harold Keyes, second husband; Mary Freeman and Rowena Larson, sisters; and by Francis Dancey, brother. Graveside services will be held 11 AM EST Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac. Burial will take place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
