Abner Adams was appointed guardian for George M. Ward and Robert N. Ward on Feb 5th, 1839, according to Elbert County Court house records. c. Mattie Smith Holiday
4. Martha Frances " Fannie" Ward (1866-1963) she married John Walton Taylor.
5. Susan Arnette "Nettie" Ward (1868-1949) she married Augustus Moton.
6. Sallie T. Ward (1868-1946) she marred Henry Eugene Thorton.
George Monroe Ward served the civil war and his tombstone reads: PVT CO H 3 REGT CAV GA STATE GUARD CSA. His brother Robert N. Ward also served in the same unit. He lived to be 83 years old and died in Elbert County, GA, in 1907.
