Photo of Lieut. Beverly D. Evans, Jr., from the article "Lieutenant Evans Killed, Says Letter," from the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, November 27, 1918, page 9. The article mentioned that Evans' father was formerly a presiding judge of the Supreme Court of Georgia. Evans, Jr. was originally in the 56th Infantry of the regular army, but then was transferred to the 20th Machine Gun Co.
