SLIGO - Funeral services will be held at 2 pm today in the Hawk Funeral Home at Sligo for Mrs. Martha Johanna Wiser, 73, of Sligo, wife of William Homer Wiser. Mrs. Wiser died at 5:50pm Monday in Brookville Hospital.
Rev. Wayne Weldon, pastor of the Callensburg Church of God, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Elwin Shearer. Interment will be in Sligo Cemetery.
Mrs. Wiser was born in Fairview Township, Butler County August 16, 1900, a daughter of Julius and Marie Daly Hackbarth. She was married May 1, 1918 to William Homer Wiser.
She was a member of the Sligo United Methodist Church.
Surviving along with her husband, William H. Wiser, are six sons, Merle Wiser of Clarion, Jack, Richard and Terry Wiser of Sligo, Carl Wiser of Titusville, and Ken Wiser at home; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Kaye) Heeter of Callensburg; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Carl and Jule Hackbarth of Clarion.
A son, Robert, is deceased along with two sisters, Edna and Hilda, and four brothers, Bill, Gus, Henry, and Martin.
