Mrs. Blanche Anderson, 88, 743 Bayless Road, Jonesborough, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Anderson was a Washington County native and a daughter of the late Joseph Pectol and Florence Zarapath Droke Jones. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and the Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Anderson, in 1962; and one sister, Martha Jones. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy A. Lee, Chattanooga, and Jeanne Gamble, Jonesborough; four sons, Joe Anderson, Fall Branch, Jimmie Anderson, Hickory, N.C., Jerry Anderson, Utica, Ky., and Robert L. Anderson, of the home; one brother, Lester Jones, Jonesborough; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Anderson will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, March 30, 2002 at the Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Cal Maas officiating. Interment services will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home and other times at the home of Lester Jones, 1106 Highway 81 N., Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be Dennis Chase, Mike Gamble, Travis Gamble, Steve Anderson, Scott Anderson, Lynn Anderson, and Michael Gamble. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Women's Missionary Union and Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy A. Lee, Chattanooga, and Jeanne Gamble, Jonesborough; four sons and daughter-in-laws, Joe & Mildred Anderson, Fall Branch, Jimmie & Velma Anderson, Hickory, NC, Jerry & Taloma Anderson, Utica, KY, and Robert Anderson, of the home; one brother and sister-in-law, Lester & Blanche Jones, Jonesborough; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
