Talked with Castleton Town Clerk as you suggested, Matthias & Caroline were not in the first book, but in the second book for the WEST SECTION Matthias & Caroline Ellis are listed as burials in Lot 12.
She also concurred that "new cemetery" was Hillside Cemetery.
