Doris was a bookkeeper for many years at Joseph's Department Store and then worked at Croghan Colonial Bank and Paw Patch. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She also was a member of the Fremont Moose. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, knitting, baking and playing euchre. Doris was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavs, and Ohio State fan. She enjoyed listening to classic rock and loved her dogs.
Doris is survived by her children, Douglas (Beth) Ackerman, Denver, NC, Terry Williams, Blanchester, OH, Dan (Debbie) Ackerman, Denver, NC and Amy (Jesse) Bayless, Plain City, OH; grandchildren, Ryan, Kristina, Sarah, Drew, Lauren, Trevor and Cameron.
She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Mary Immel; siblings, Vincent, Warren, Walt, Richard and Willie Immel, Florence Somers, and Marilyn Bisping.
Visitation: Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH.
