Bertha Sharpe Ledwell, 94, of Asheville, died Monday, May 31, 2004.
Mrs. Ledwell was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Alden L. and Deama Rhymer Sharpe. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Lusk, who died in 1996.
She was retired after 35 years as an operator with Southern Bell and was a member of Bell United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Katherine Bradley of Asheville; one brother, Wayne Sharpe of Asheville; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Bell United Methodist Church Burial will be in the church cemetery.
