Obituary

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust."

Psalm 91:1-2

Mr. Arthur "Jim" Robinson was born in Cameron, South Carolina on November 4, 1949 to the late George and Corine B. Robinson. He was the oldest of 13 children. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Grandparents, Brothers (John Myers, Kenneth Robinson), and Sister (Malqueen Robinson).

He attended St. John School in Cameron, South Carolina. He was employed as a mechanic with Superior Motors for 50+ years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing. He also enjoyed listening to Old School music to which he would 2-step and swing. He was a very loving and dedicated family man, that was our own go to mechanic.

Arthur leaves to cherish the memories of his life to his loving children, Jennifer (Aaron) Jackson, Victoria Bethea, Tonya (George) Graves, Stepsons- Wendell (Sherry) Glover, Roderick James, and a longtime companion Shirley Fairey. Brothers- Kenneth Myers, and Bernard Robinson, of Orangeburg, SC; Willie Robinson, Lloyd (Lisa) Myers, and Floyd (Coreen) Myers, all of Cope, SC. Sisters- Evangeline (John) McCants of Brooklyn, NY; Freddie Mae (Willie) Cauthen, and Shirley (Howard) Lee, Dorothy (Melvin) Boyd, all of Orangeburg, SC. Aunts- Bettye Ravenell of Saint Matthews, SC and Lillian Benjamin of Orangeburg, SC. He had 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grands, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He also had a special riding partner Lil Mr. Devonte Adams.

The service will proceed as follows:

The viewing will be held on Saturday, April 10,2021 at Glover's Funeral Home at 2:00pm until 6:00pm.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, April 11,2021 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 1:00pm.
