Beulah (Carey) Bailey was born on January 15th, 1930 in Hulbert, OK, the daughter of Eli and Martha (Crittenden) Carey. She was raised with one brother and one sister, Joe Michael and Margie Lee. She grew up and attended school in Hulbert, OK, and after graduating, attended some college classes at Northeastern State University. On September 8th, 1951, she married the love of her life and her best friend, Denver Bailey. The couple had two children, one boy and one girl, both of whom died before birth. Beulah loved keeping house for Denver. Her cooking skills were amazing, when it came time to cooking wildlife, she cleaned it and cooked it. She loved the great outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying the view from the river bank. Besides cooking for the neighborhood, she liked to go bowling or do a little sewing. She was quiet and kept her opinions to herself, unless someone raised a question about her Christian beliefs, and then she had no problem telling you how she really felt. She adored her family. They were what made her truly happy. Her husband passed in 1988, and Beulah moved in with her brother, someone she trusted to look after her. She possessed an unshakeable belief in God and his design for her life, and it was with this belief the Lord called her home on November 25th, 2022 in Tulsa, OK She was 92 years old and will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, mother, father, husband Denver, baby daughter Shirley and baby son, Denver Jr. She also joins her sister, Margie Lee Parnell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Joe Michael Carey and wife Tina Ryder, that she raised like her own son, nephew David Parnell of Broken Arrow, OK, Cousin Pat Crittenden, and Cousin Lena Martinez, and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Graveside services for Beulah Carey-Bailey will be held on Monday, December 5th, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sam Keener of Swimmer Baptist Church officiating.
