Comedian. Freddie was a stand-up comedian best known for his frequent appearances at "Borscht Belt" hotels. He headlined resort venues including Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Harrahs Atlantic City. He served as the dean of the Friars Club. Freddie co-wrote, and starred in, the stage show Catskills on Broadway, as well as appearing in several films. Freddie married his wife Ethel in 1959. They had two children, Alan and Judith.
