Chester L. "Chet" Dampier

Chester L. Dampier, 72, of Pensacola, FL., fell asleep with the lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
He was born on July 7, 1950, in St. Augustine, FL. by his parents Chester Lionel Dampier and Geneyle Pearl Dick Dampier.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester Dampier, Geneyle Dampier, and his wife of 33 years Evanthea Fivgas Dampier.
Chester went into the Navy when he was 18 years old and served for 20 years, where he then married his wife of 33 years Evanthea "Evie" Dampier. He was a Greek Orthodox Christian. Chet spent most of his career with Simply Blinds Inc. He was very athletic when he was growing up and loved to play baseball and golf throughout life. Enjoying the outdoors, he loved to go fishing as well. Chet was an amazing cook and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His second home was always the mountains where his wife and children would vacation there often. Chet loved to spoil his grandson Brayden all the time and loved to make him breakfast.
He is survived by his son Christopher G. Dampier, grandson Brayden, daughter Maria J. Dampier Doyle (Clayton) of Broomfield, CO. Neice Trish Burge Wall of Jefferson, GA.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Services starting at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow to Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a Makaria Reception after the interment back at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
