Phillip was listed as farmer age 68, his wife Anna R. age 54, and son John age 21, daughter Anna R. age 20, and son George B. age 17, daughter Mary M. age 15 and son Lloyd C. age 11, all born in Maryland. Also living with him was a nephew, William C. Culler age 34 born in Maryland, and he was listed as a clerk.

Death near Jefferson-- Mr. Philip Culler, living about two and half miles west of Frederick, on the Harper's Ferry Road, died on Tuesday of heart disease, aged 73 years. The funeral will take place Thursday at 10 a.m., at Jefferson.
