Colleen Stephensen Christensen Skinner, 81, passed away January 12, 2008 in Lehi, Utah. Born August 30, 1926 in Riverton, UT the daughter of Stephen Fermore and Hazel Giles Stephensen. She married James Martin Christensen April 17, 1945 in Pensacola, Florida. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple August 3, 1972. James preceded her in death October 5, 1979. She later married Wendall Skinner in the Jordan River Temple in May of 1993; he also preceded her in death. Colleen was a dedicated wife, and a devoted mother and grandmother whose family always came first. She loved to crochet and make doilies for all of her family and friends. Survivors include Caroleen (Roger) Chamberlain, Glendale, UT; Jay Martin (Cheryl) Christensen, Am. Fork; Christine Newman and John Beck, Pl. Grove; Julie (Craig) Park, Colstrip, MT; Patty (Grady) Southwick, Lehi; 22 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, a brother Max Stephensen, sister Karma Schulze, and three sisters-in-law Laura Stephensen, Vicky Stephensen, and Karen Stephensen. Preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, six brothers, a sister, a granddaughter, and a son-in-law. A special thanks to Greenwood Elderly Care, and Sarah, Maryane, and her granddaughter Misty for the care they gave our mother. Funeral services will be held Wed., January 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi 4th Ward, 851 N. 1200 E. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 No., Am.
