Age 93. Passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, in St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Moravia, Czechoslovakia, on March 28, 1864, Mrs. Chadek came from Czechoslovakia at the age of 16 and resided in Racine until 1893 when she moved to Husher where she lived until 1923 when she returned to Racine. She was a member of St. John's Nepomuk Church, Christian Mother's Society and was a charter member of St. Ann's Society. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John T. (Florence) Oile of Franksville; two sons, Frank J. Chadek of Racine and /arthur J. Chadek of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Her husband Frank M. Chadek, who had been engaged in blacksmith trade at Husher, preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1932. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 21, 8:30 am, in the Strouf Funeral Home and 9 am, in St. John's Nepomuk Church, Rev. Joseph J. Macek officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Ave. Friends may call at the Strouf Funeral Home 1001 High St., Tuesday afternoon and evening and until service time on Wednesday. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening, 8 o'clock, in the funeral home.
