At the time of his birth, Moscow was known as Garretson Landing (but often called "Goat Shed"). His mother died when he was ten, and he was raised along with the rest of the family, by his older brother "Mr. Ed" McDill. Mr. Ed also took in the two young children of his sister who died in childbirth and raised them along with his brothers. So while
