Sarah Walker, 96, of Martinsburg passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born March 2, 1926 in Kearneysville she was the daughter of the late John Roper and Nannie Roper (Fox).

Sarah worked in housekeeping at the VA Medical Center and attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Diggs (Harlan); sons, John Walker, Jr., Terry L. Walker (Margaret), and Michael Walker (Vicky); five grandchildren, Melissa, Jeffrey (Samantha), John (Kristen), Philip, and Kevin; and seven great grandchildren, Sydeny, Destiny, Tyren, Isabella, Brooklyn, Kylan and Rylan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Brothers, John, and James Roper; and sisters, Francis Grantham, Velda Brown, Mary Mason and Celena Carter; one grandchild, Terry Lee.

Funeral Service will be held at Brown Funeral Home at 10AM Saturday, November 19, 2022 with Pastor Ed Hall officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
