Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Christine Everett, and brothers, Doc Jackson and George Jackson.
He is survived by his lifelong sweetheart, Deborah Jackson, daughter, Melissa Davis and husband Mike, son, Matthew Jackson and wife Keisha, brother, James Jackson and wife Loy, grandchildren: Chelsey Winningham and husband Luke, Justin Davis, Mattie Jackson; step grandchild, Terry Davis, Weston Davis; great-grandchild, Makenzie Winningham, step great-grandchildren: Dylan Davis and Cody Davis.
Mr. Jackson loved to work. He loved the rancher's life and all the responsibilities that came with it. He was especially proud of his "Lazy T Brangus" cattle. Agriculture was important to him, and he made it a point to pass along his knowledge and experiences through Henderson County Agriculture Committee as well as FFA and 4H. He was proud to receive the honor of "Agriculturist of the Year" in 2013, where he was recognized for his passion of ranching. Above all he was a good man who loved his family and would help anyone in need. He is one of the last of a dying breed of men that we all miss dearly.
