First Marriage: Selina V Parks
Married 17 Jul 1861 in Waupaca County, WI. A daughter, Emma Elizabeth, was born about 1862. The marriage ended in divorce, probably between 1862 and 1864.

Second Marriage: Emily B Smith
Married 28 Aug 1864 in Waupaca County. In addition to the four children linked to this memorial, they also had a daughter, Mary, who was born about 1876. The marriage ended with Emily's death in 1905.

Third Marriage: Mary (Carle) Hurtt
Married 13 Mar 1910 in Farmington township (probably at the Veterans Home, where both resided). She stated this was her third marriage, but she had also stated her most recent marriage had been her third. Wiliam stated he had been both widowed and divorced. This marriage ended with William's death in 1912.
