Mrs. Sadie Dowdle Simpson 77, a former resident of Warsaw for a number of years, who has resided in Rochester for the past 20 years, died at 279 Post Ave, Rochester, Thursday (Jan. 8). She was born in Bells Camp, McKean County, Pennsylvania on November 26, 1881. Her husband, Lorenzo F. Simpson, a former Warsaw Jeweler died about 21 years ago. She is survived by 1 son, Robert A. Simpson of Warsaw; 1 daughter, Mrs. Edward Trax of Rochster with whom she made her home, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Simpson was a former member of St. Michaels Church in Warsaw and more recently, a member of St. Augustine's Church in Rochester. A prayer service was held at 8:30 am Saturday in the Weeks Funeral home, followed by a Requim Mass at 9 am in St. Michaels Church. Burial was at St. Michael's Cemetery. There was a recitation of the rosary at 7:30 pm Friday in the Weeks Funeral Home.
