NEWBERN, Sept. 22.—Sarah Snyder was born in York, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 19, 1821, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ben Pouch, on Sept. 16, 1911. Had she lived until the 19th she would have been 90 years of age. She was married in Pennsylvania to Michael Fry on March 9, 1844, and moved in a few years thereafter to Galion, Ohio, and from thence to Linn county, Iowa, in 1866. Two years later she moved to Newbern, making this place her home thereafter. Deceased was the mother of eleven children, two of whom died in infancy and tow in maturer years. Mr. Fry died on Sept. 9, 1899. Seven children are living, all of whom but two were present at the funeral. Mother Fry was converted while quite young and joined the church, of which she remained a constant member until her death. She was well known, having a large acquaintance. She was a kind, cheerful, devoted and affectionate mother.
