Madelyn J. Bouma of Walker, MI, passed away October 30, 2022, in the presence of her loved ones. She was born April 7, 1928 in Grand Rapids, MI.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herman A. Bouma, parents, Albert and Gertrude Vissia and her daughter Nina Remijn; her sons-in-law Bob Daniels and Andrew Mast.

She is survived by her children Trudy and Jerry Fluit, Louise Mast, Sharon Horan, Al and Cheryl Bouma, Ruth and Tim DeVisser; 32 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; her sister Joanne Spaans and her brother Joe and Lois Vissia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Johanna Bouma, Ralph and Cornelia Bouma, Henrietta Van De Lagemaat, Jennie and John Luteyn, Fran and Larry Teunissen, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services, officiated by Rev. H. Hofman, will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI, with interment following at Fairplains Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit her family on Thursday, November 3 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Acres of Allendale, 11289 Commerce Dr., Allendale MI 49401, or to, Faith Hospice Raybrook Campus, 2100 Raybrook St SE #300, Grand Rapids, MI.

We as a family we wish to thank the staff at Green Acres of Allendale for all the tender love and care given to our mother but also to all of us. We will never forget.
