Mary Bodnar Petro Funeral

A high requiem funeral mass was said at the Hudson Catholic church on Saturday morning at 10:30 for Mrs. Paul Petro conducted by Father Kevin Henry F.O.M. of Denver, with music by members of the Lander choir. The many beautiful floral pieces were in charge of the ladies of S.M.P.J. lodge.
Casket bearers were Buck Boedeker, Charles Van Patten, Dan Svilar, Olivo Bertagnolli, Red Svilar and John Vinich.
Honorary pallbearers were George Doughty, Sterling Alexander, Fred Wise, Chas. Alexander, Alex Ocenas and Steve Hitro. Interment took place in the Hudson cemetery.
All of her family was present for the service except twelve small grand children. Those from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lutkins of Cody and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kuseck of Rock Springs and Mr. Pate of Riverton and many Lander friends.
Mary Bodnar was born in Czechoslavakia in 1886, and came to America when 14 years of age. She was one of a family of three brothers and two sisters, all of whom, with two small children, have preceded her in death.
While living in Denver she met and married Paul Petro January 7, 1906, and came to Hudson in February of 1909, where they have spent the past 41 years. Mrs. Petro has been a highly respected resident of the community, a devout member of the Catholic church and also a member of S.M.P.J. lodge.
Her death resulted from bronchial asthma, from which she suffered many weeks and death came as a release November 8th, at Bishop Randall hospital.
Besides her husband she is survived by her husband, and ten children: George of Glendale, California, Paul Jr. of Rock Springs, Mrs. Jeannette Farlow of Lander, Mrs. Elizabeth Applehans, Riverton, Mrs. Emma Ashley, Rock Springs, John and Mabel Vinich of Hudson.
