Born April 1, 1900, in rural Fulton County to Lewis and Margaret Moran Beal, she married Samuel Edmund Ashbaugh on Feb. 9, 1924, in Peoria. He died June 18, 1976.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Don (Virginia) Hittle and Esther Molchin, both of Farmington; and several nieces and nephews.
She taught school for five years for the Peoria County schools.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Keller Post 1078 of Dunlap and was a 50 year member of Eastern Star Alta Chapter.
She was also a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at her church. The Rev. Ron Dickinson will officiate. Visitation will be one half hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Hammitt Funeral Home in Princeville is in charge of arrangements.
