Mr. Brumitt passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at his home in Plainville. He was born March 18, 1937 in Codell the son of C. O. & Angela (Dreiling) Brumitt.
He was a lifetime Plainville resident graduating from Codell High School and was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Brumitt was the owner of Brumitt Shingling and Roof Repair, the owner of Brumitt Snowmobiles, and was a Cattleman & Rancher. He was a member of the Reeder-Dinkel-Westhusin V.F.W Post #8871 in Plainville and was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, snowmobiles, and picking on his children and grandchildren.
On October 14, 1961 he married Jo Bennett Cunningham in Plainville. She survives of the home.

Son Daniel and wife Charlene Cunningham of Plainville. Their Daughter Lacci Cunningham; son Joshua and fiance Tiffany Kraft and their daughter Jennifer.
Daughter Brynda & husband Greg Hayes of Ellsworth. Their son Jonathan & wife Jessica Hayes and their daughters Hanna & Kaylee. Their daughter Haley & husband Chris Lemman and their daughter Kamryn. Their daughter Rachel Hayes and her son Jacob.
Daughter Cindy and husband Eric Cox of Plainville, her son Derek and her daughter Shanaya. Brothers Robert Brumitt of Woodston, Morris Brumitt of Denver, Colorado, Charles Brumitt of Rexford; and sister Betty Treat of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his parents C. O. & Angela Brumitt and granddaughter Jennifer Herl Benedick; and Sister Charlene Brumitt.
Burial will be in the Plainville Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and the Reeder-Dinkel-Westhusin V.F.W. Post #8871. Visitation will be from 5-8 Saturday, 9-8 Sunday at the Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel in Plainville.
