Plainville -- Charlene "Charlie" Brumitt, 63, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at Plainville Rural Hospital.

She was born Aug. 19, 1938, on the Brumitt Ranch near Codell to Charles O. and Angela M. (Dreiling) Brumitt.

She attended school in Codell and graduated from Plainville High School in 1956. In the early 1960s she moved to Boston, then to Silver Spring, Md. In 1995 she moved to Wichita and to Plainville in 1998. She was the Plainville city clerk and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Plainville.

Survivors include four brothers, Duane L., Plainville, Morris D., Denver, Charles O. Jr., Grand Junction, Colo., and Robert L., Woodston; and a sister, Betty Treat, Wichita.

She was preceded death by an infant sister, Roberta Brumitt.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, Plainville, with the Rev. Mark Huntley officiating; burial in Plainville Cemetery. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville.

Memorials are suggested to Plainville Rural Hospital Hospice Room.
