▪︎"According to a suit at law brought by Mathias Lair & Catherine, 28 May, 1765, a John Harrison & Mary (his wife) had 'left the Colony' just prior to this time (County Court Judgments Aug 1756; chalkley, Vol. I, p334) This John may have been also a son of Gideon, Sr. He does not appear to be a landowner."

From another researcher, I saw research that Gideon & his wife, Hannah Harrison had a son named Joseph Harrison. Also, that the widow, Hannah Harrison & her children left for the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with Isaiah Harrison, Sr. & other members of his family who left with him in 1737.

It is known from Court Records, that this Gideon Harrison died in 1729, & I have placed him in the Lewes Presbyterian Church Cemetery, where there are Find A Grave Memorials for some early Stewarts/Stuarts. But Gideon Harrison may not be buried here.

From the website, Genealogy Trails for Sussex County, Delaware: About 1694, the Court ordered a tract of land near Block House Pond be used for burials. Here, in 1727, a Friends' Burial Ground was established with Mary Miers setting aside 1 acre of ground. Some interments were made, but, after the custom of Friends, also known as Quakers, no headstones marked the graves. In 1813 Jane Cord... conveyed the above tract...to the Camden Monthly Meeting for a burial ground.... Many Quakers left of area, & in 1840, most of the ground was sold to William Russell & was used for other purposes.
