Susana Rodriguez, 42 years of age, passed away Friday November 16, 2018 at her residence. Susana was an ex-student of Alice High School. She was a devoted mother to her children, working hard and always putting them first before herself. She enjoyed family gatherings and enjoyed watching football games. There was never a dull moment with her and was the light of the party. She never came across a stranger. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and the small circle of special friends that were like family to her.

Susana was preceded in death by a son, Jesus Lara; her maternal grandfather, Guadalupe Gonzalez; and paternal grandparents, Prudencio and Juanita Rodriguez.

Survivors include three sons, Raul Rios Jr, Jacob Rios and Alfonso Rios all of Alice, Texas; one daughter, Maranda Rios, of Alice, Texas; her mother, Angelita "Angie" Rodriguez of Alice, Texas; her father, Prudencio Rodriguez of Alice, Texas. Other survivors include three brothers, Prudencio Rodriguez III, Lorenzo Rodriguez and Louie Rodriguez all of Alice, Texas; one sister, Josie Rodriguez of Brownfield, Texas; her maternal grandmother, Gloria Gonzalez of Alice, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Rosas Funeral Home with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Raul Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, Alfonso Rodriguez, Prudencio Rodriguez, Lorenzo Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Jose Salinas and Marie Contreras.
