Born in Shelby County on Dec. 31, 1913, Mrs. Fischer was the daughter of William and Lillian (Robinson) Davis. On July 3, 1936, she was married to Frank V. Fischer, who survives with her mother with her mother, Mrs. Lillian Vogel of Rays Crossing.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. J. P. (Joan) Morgan of Greensburg, Mrs. Gordon D. (Joyce) Pope of Fairland and Carol Ann Fischer, at home; six grandchildren; and three brothers and a sister, Harold Davis, Shelbyville, Charles Davis, R.R. 1, Shelbyville, Gerald Davis, Fountaintown, and Mrs. Charles Franklin of Covington, Ky.
Mrs. Fischer was employed as a bookkeeper at Bob and Mac's Wholesale Co. in Greensburg. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member and past regent of the Daughters of Isabella Circle in Greensburg and was vice president of the Greensburg Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Church Saturday at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Joseph Laugel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg after 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rosary will be recited Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. (Obit: Shelbyville News, Dec. 22, 1966)
