Chris V. Alyea, 48, of Lafayette, died at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in the emergency room at Home Hospital.

He was born May 3, 1959, in Indianapolis, the son of Richard E. Alyea of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Virginia L. Robertson Alyea of Lafayette. He was a graduate of Northwest High School in Indianapolis and Purdue University School of Computer Technology.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Lafayette. He had previously resided in Indianapolis and South Bend, as well as Benton Harbor, Mich., for a few years.

Mr. Alyea was a theater manager for United Artists. He enjoyed music and playing his bass guitar, computer games and movies.

Surviving with his parents is a brother, Keith D. Alyea (wife: Janet M. Alsup) of West Lafayette.

Services and burial will take place in Lincoln, Neb.
