AGGEO FIGINI
A Requiem Mass for Aggeo Figini, 85, a custom tailor for 60 years, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Blessed Trinity Church, 323 Leroy Ave. The Mass will be preceded by prayers at 8:45 in the Amigone Funeral Home, 1250 East Delavan Ave. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheektowaga.

Native of Italy
Mr. Figini died Wednesday night in his home at 183 Victoria Ave. He and his wife, the former Isolina Sabatini, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1965. She died in 1966. Born in Ancona, Italy, Mr. Figini learned the trade from his father, Alessandro Figini, a custom tailor, and came to Buffalo in 1911. He operated a custom tailor shop at 229 E. Eagle St. for about 10 years until about the early 1920s.

Retired in 1958
Mr. Figini later worked for such Buffalo custom tailors as Martin and Neal Johnson, Lyons Bros. and Posmantur Bros., also for the Kleinhans Co. and M. Wile & Co. He went into semi-retirement in the mid-1940s spending his winters in Miami Beach, Fla. and working for A. Polizzi Custom Tailor of Kenmore in the summers. He retired in 1958.
Surviving are a son, Leo of Buffalo; three daughters Mrs. Louis DiCarlo and Mrs. Louis Lanza, also of Buffalo; Mrs. Antonio Latona of the Town of Tonawanda; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

To Renew Vows on 50th Anniversary
A couple married 50 years will renew their wedding vows at 9 o'clock on Thursday, July 23, at Saint Mary Magdalene Church. Mr. and Mrs. Aggeo Figini, of 74 Hazelwood Ave., will also hear mass celebrated by Rt. Rev. Msgr. John P. Boland, P.A., Pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, a family friend who performed the same rite at the Figinis' silver wedding anniversary.

Mr. Figini, 72, and his wife, the former Isolina Sabatini, 71, met in the Adriatic seaport town of Ostra, Italy, where both were born. They were married there July 22, 1905.
Mr. Figini came to the United States in 1911 and his wife followed a year later. From 1911 until his retirement last year, Mr. Figini was a custom tailor.

A reception will be held in Montemaggiorese Club, 219 West Ferry St., after the mass by their son Leo and three daughters, Mrs. Louis DiCarlo, Mrs. Louis Lanza and Mrs. Antonio Latona. A number of friends from Florida are expected to attend.
