Nadine White Sanders, 97, of Morganton, NC, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on February 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Albert Moten White and Grace Alice Short White. Nadine was a member of Morganton Wesleyan Church and retired from Western Carolina Center in 1987.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her son, Dr. Dennis Martin (Carol); daughter, Mary Ann Martin Copeland (Steve); grandchildren, Katie Thomas, Spencer Martin, Scott Martin, Joel Copeland, Julie Mandujano, and John Stallings; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Earl White.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sanders; sister, Aileen Towery; and five brothers, Cly, Paul, Wayne, James, and Hugh White.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Glenn Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
