Audrey Louise Drish passed away on December 28, 2021. Audrey was born January 5, 1927. Being a native S.W. Washingtonian, she often shared nostalgic memories of growing up in our Nation's Capital.

She would tell stories of her youth when she would spend her days freely playing in and around the United States Capitol Building and surrounding Smithsonian Museums and roller skating throughout the city.

As a young lady, she met and married the love of her life, William R. Drish, Jr. who lived in her neighborhood. They married in 1948 at St. Dominic Catholic Church located in S.W. Washington D.C.. As a couple they enjoyed doing things together. One special common interest was being loyal Washington Redskins fans and as lifetime season ticket holders, attended many home football games at RFK Stadium. Together they moved to the suburbs of Seabrook Maryland where they raised their family.

In addition to raising her children, to help support the family, she worked in accounting for the Neptune Room Restaurant located in D.C. and Prince George's Country Club as well as an Avon lady and typed loan letters for National Capital Bank also located in D.C.. Over the years she also enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting afghans for family and watching the Hallmark Channel while munching on Hershey kisses.
