Mae Lehman, 75, of Muncie In went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday February 2, 2008 while at the Waters of Muncie. She was born in Madison, West Virginia on May 28, 1932 the daughter of Clarence W. Burgess and Ruby Mae (Hager) Burgess. On June 25, 1948 she married Larry R. Lehman Sr. who survives.
Mae was a dedicated wife and mother who was married for 60 years she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved her many friends at the Waters of Muncie.
Surviving relatives includes her husband, Larry R. Lehman Sr. of Muncie, three daughters, Frances Atkins (husband Michael) of Muncie, June Doty (husband Claude) of Muncie, and Wavelene Brand (husband Donald F. ) of Daleville. Two brothers; Clarence Burgess of Muncie and Charles Burgess of Muncie. Three sisters; Roma Maggard of Muncie, Karen Smith of Muncie and Martha Lehman of Muncie. Nine grandchildren; Chasity Long,Victora Shirley, Lori Lehman, Donna Brand, Sarah Morgan, Rachael Atkins, Michael Atkins, Aaron Fisher and Nathanael Fisher. Nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents and one son, Larry Lehman Jr. brother, Jack Holt and sister, Mary Helen Tomblin.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 5, 2008 at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie In. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Tuesday February 5, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
