Daughter of Balthazar Bouyer. Her mother died when she was a young girl. Her stepmother was Mary Genevieve Youngblood (Mary and Balthazar married in 1822).
Heloise's birth year is estimated to be 1810 from Census records.

Heloise married George P. Turpin in 1828 in Richmond County, GA. They had 3 sons, George, William, and John. It is uncertain if they divorced. Only their sons seem to be mentioned in Mr. Turpin's will and he names his friend Mr. McDonald executor. Seventeen years her senior, he died in 1840.

Heloise remarried circa 1840 to Conrad Hanse. They had 2 children: Cecilia Louise Hanse Valentino and Lewis Albert Hanse. Conrad died in 1864. They are noted raising their family in Macon, Georgia from the 1850 census onward.

-Obituary, The Atlanta Constitution, 19 Sep 1891, Pg 1:
Macon, GA - September 18 - {Special.} -
Probably the oldest citizen of Macon is now lying at death's door, at her home on the corner of Oak and Third streets. It is Mrs. Louise Hanse, the aged and beloved mother of Mr. L.A. Hanse, Mr. George Turpin and Mrs. John Valentino. She has been very ill for a few days, and her death is hourly expected. She has been a resident of this city since her birth (sic*), eighty three years ago, and until very recently she preserved a correct recollection of the early history of Macon.

*Records indicate that Heloise's birth place was more likely RIchmond County, Georgia, but no doubt she was a resident of Macon, Bibb County, Georgia for a very long time. Richmond County is about 122 miles from present day Macon, GA.

-Notes: Her name is seen in records as Eloise, Eloise Therese, and Louisa. She is listed as Heloise Therese in her father's will, and Mrs. H T Hanse on her husband's probate records. In her father's 1837 will she is mentioned as the wife of George P. Turpin.

In the 1850 Census Heloise is listed as L H and Conrad is listed as Chas Hanse. Living with them are all of her children listed as CL Hanse, Albert Hanse, Wm H Terpin, Geo B Terpin, and John A Terpin.
