Services for Mary R. Cox, 82 of Palestine will be at 4 p.m. today at Roselawn Park with Dr. Richard Waters and the Rev. Jack Cox officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mrs. Cox died Sunday morning at Cartmell Home for the Aged.

She was born January 25, 1916, in Palestine to Walter C. and Lena Hunt Roquemore. She graduated from Palestine High School in 1933.

Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and member of Harvey Woman's Club and Palestine Noon Business & Professional Women's Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1929.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, J.D. Cox of Palestine; a daughter, Jane Mathews of Palestine; a son, Jim Cox of Houston; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stephen Mathews, Pat Mathews, Ronnie Cox, Ted Schmid, Mark Henderson, Darwin Mitchell, Sam Martine and Art Frey.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Robert T. Maker, Walter Johnston, Eddie Jowell and Ira Morel.
