Col. Roquemore died July 9, in Santa Ana following a lengthy illness.
Born in Palestine on August 28, 1919, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Roquemore. He graduated from Palestine High School in 1937 and attended LSU North-East Center University in Monroe, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Roquemore, and a brother, Paul Roquemore.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann Atkins Roquemore and a daughter, Mrs. Susan Blinn of El Toro, Calif.; a son, John Roquemore of Huntington Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lena Roquemore and sisters, Mrs. J.D. (Mary) Cox, and Mrs. Jack (Lena Mae) Sims, all of Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.
