Alma Browning Long passed away October 14, 1988 in San Francisco after a long illness; a native of Texas, she graduated from Wellington (Texas) High School with the Class of 1920. Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Charles Kiefer Long, San Francisco; sisters, Elizabeth Potter and Grace Wheat, both of San Antonio, Texas; she is also survived by a niece, Betsy Browning Rogers, New York City and nephews, Lee and Mark Rasmussen, both of Cincinnati, Ohio and William Zant, Weatherford, Texas and Robert and James Browning, San Antonio.

Mrs. Long was the mother of the late Edmund J. Moser, Jr.; her father, the Dr. C.L. Browning was Methodist Episcopal Bishop,San Antonio, Texas.

She was a member of the Metropolitan Club and the Chinese-American Bridge Club, San Francisco and formerly the San Antonio County Club, where she starred as a young lady in local and state tennis tournaments, winning single titles and with her sister, Elizabeth, doubles honors; a talented writer, Mrs. Long was a reporter and editor on New York Consumer publications in the 1930's; she married Mr. Long March 21, 1946.

Arrangements are through the Neptune Society, San Francisco.
