Charles Raymond (Charlie) Clement, 88, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., formerly of Memphis, Tenn., passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, July 24, 2017, surrounded by members of his loving family.
One of eleven children, Charlie was born in Grand Junction, Tenn., on November 4, 1928 to Leila Iona (Dawkins) and Robert Earl Clement.
He proudly served in the U.S. National Navy from 1946 to 1951 attached to Squadron VC-12.
Charlie was employed for 25 years in the electrical division of Memphis, Light, Gas and Water until his retirement in 1977.
He worked for ITT/American Electric, (Thomas and Betts), Southaven, MS: 1980-1992.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and former Master of O.K. Lodge 707.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved flying model planes, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Patsy Ruth (Bailey) Clement of Summerfield, LA; his three children: Tommy Rae of Maryville, Mickey Lynn of Brentwood, and Larry Wayne of Kennesaw, Ga; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, one brother Frank of Montana; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
