Former Woodside Resident Dies
Mrs. Edith Bateaux, wife of Burton Barteaux, of San Mateo and a former well known Woodside resident, passed away at her home in San Mateo last Saturday morning from pneumonia, followed by a severe attack of influenza. Mrs. Barteaux was formerly Miss Edith Bottiger, the Bottiger family being prominent in Woodside district for many years.
Besides her widower, Mrs. Barteaux leaves two children, Barton Jr. and Kenneth Barteaux. A sister, Mrs. Lucy Hallett, residing on Woodside road and Henry Bottiger of Woodside also survive.
The funeral was held Monday morning from the chapel of Geo. W. Sneider and Co. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Redwood City.
