Anna Rogers Clark was born in 1730 in VA. Anna married Col. John Abner Field in 1747. He was the son of Abraham Field and Mary Byrd. He was born in 1720 in Culpepper, VA. Col. John Abner Field was killed in 1774 at the Battle of Point Pleasant. Anna never remarried, but kept very busy with her 12 children. Ten of her children would have black hair like their mother, and two had bright red hair like their father.
This marker includes the names of her Fields children, siblings and her parents.
Five of Anna Rogers (Clark) Field's children were officers in the military.
