Bonnie Mae Gallmeyer, 79, of Ossian, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on October 1, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Melvin and Arnita (Droege)

Adams. Bonnie was united in marriage to Jerry Gallmeyer on October 7, 1962 at Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven, Indiana.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble and was active in the Ladies Aid and LWML.

Bonnie graduated from New Haven High School in 1960, after high school she continued her education at International Business College in Fort Wayne. After college she worked for an attorney's office until she started her family. She was also a former bank teller, beginning her career at Norwest Bank and following through its transitions into Wells Fargo Bank.

Bonnie was a homemaker, enjoying gardening and flowers. She enjoyed maintaining the family farm bookkeeping with her beautiful penmanship and attention to detail. She soldiered through 19 years of thyroid cancer treatments with numerous setbacks in a battle that finally took her life. Bonnie will be remembered by her thoughtful, kind support of family and friends with an easy smile and laugh. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jerry Gallmeyer of Ossian, Indiana; two sons, Dean (Cynthia) Gallmeyer of Decatur, Indiana and Greg Gallmeyer of Carmel, Indiana; two daughters, Julie (Jeff) Schueler of Decatur, Indiana and Tina (Rick) Briars of Maumee, Ohio; sister, Susan Bidlack of Defiance, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Eric (Cassie) Koenemann, Joshua (Stephanie) Gallmeyer, Brian (Alissa) Gallmeyer and Renee Gallmeyer, Jamie Schueler & Kevin Schueler, Faith Briars, Andrew Briars and Ian Briars; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Preble with Pastor Andrew Yeager officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Preble.
