Robert (Bob) was very involved in Montgomery County Maryland politics and rose to the top position of Republican Party Chair, where he successfully guided the party during his tenure.
Bob served his country honorably, enlisting in the US Army Reserves. He ran Eugene H. Phifer Realty, Inc. for over 50 years, making it one of the most respected real estate firms in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Bob was a long-time member of Congressional Country Club and an avid golfer. He was also a member of the District of Columbia Grand Lodge, FAAM, where he rose in rank and became a Master Mason and member of the Royal Order of Jesters. He was highly involved in helping new members learn rites and progress through the degrees of Freemasonry. Robert was a wonderful example of a Mason, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. He always had time for others and was the first to lend a hand to someone in need.
Robert wished to spend eternity among the seas, so his ashes will be spread by his family off the shores of Vero Beach, Florida at a later date.
