Krotz Springs - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Louella Ardoin Hyatt at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Father Michael DeBlanc will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and internment will follow in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louella Ardoin Hyatt, age 76, on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Louella was employed with Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home for the past six years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing, playing "Bouree", dancing, listening to music and getting together with her "crazy" friends. She loved the Town of Krotz Springs' senior parties, trips and monthly gatherings. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed giving ice cream to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louella enjoyed the holidays, loved pocking Easter eggs, giving trick or treat candy during Halloween and then cooking dinner for her family and friends. Louella also enjoyed going to area festivals and events and enjoyed having a good time at Mardi Gras. She was a loving and fun person who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Louella is survived by her son, Travis Barker and wife, Heather, of Krotz Springs; her daughter, Cynthia Stelly and husband, Michael, of Krotz Springs; her five grandchildren, Michael Christopher Stelly (Joanie), Logan Stelly (Kelley), Halie Briley (Logan), Arielle Barker (Blaise), Wyatt Barker; nine great-grandchildren, Dillan Stelly, Lilly Stelly, Brett Darden, Baylee Darden, Kylie Stelly, Chloe Taylor, Cassie Stelly, Cullyn Briley, Zander Stelly and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death her husband, JB Hyatt; her parents, Neson Ardoin and Louray Guillory; her son, Timothy Dupre; her brothers, Lawrence Ardoin and James Ardoin and her great-granddaughter, Addyson Stelly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs. A rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Friday, January 7, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Logan Stelly, Logan Briley, Wyatt Barker, Michael Christopher Stelly, Billy Ardoin and Kolbi Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Blaise Darbonne.
