Dorothy Grant Griffin, 86, of Caledonia, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in West Point, Mississippi.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Harding, Bro. Jim Varnon, and Bro. Mel Howton officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS.

Dorothy was born in 1935 to Virgie Andrews and Hoyle Grant. She was raised in Kolola Springs along with her older sister- Myra Grant Schamel, younger sister- Edith Grant Jordan and younger brother- Michael Grant. In her younger years, she met and married, Floyd (Bill) Griffin, in 1955. Mrs. Griffin lived a full and beautiful life. She was patient and gentle and always put others before herself. She was an integral part of Kolola Springs Baptist Church and attended service regularly. She raised all five of her children to love the Lord and keep God at the center of all they do.

Mrs. Griffin is preceded in death by her birth parents- Virgie Andrew and Hoyle Grant, mother- Louise

Simpson, sister- Myra Schamel, brother-in-law- Jack Schamel, husband- Floyd Griffin and son- Carl Griffin.
