entered heaven 9/5/2022. He was born in Bloomington, IL 7/20/1930 to Dr. Owen WE Nowlin and Anna Margaret (nee Carson). Beloved Husband of Nancy T (nee Moe) for 66 years. Loving father of Theresa Lynn Borchert (Norman, deceased) and O.W. Eric Nowlin (Jacqueline). Adored grandfather to Alex Nowlin (Lauren) and Emily Nowlin, great grandfather to Kinsley Rae Nowlin. Cherished family friend, C. Patrick Kane. Owen was preceded in death by sisters Sara Brown (James) and Patricia Fuller (Jim). Owen graduated from Western Military Academy in Alton, IL and Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the Army serving at Fort Benning and Fort Leonard Wood and retired as a Captain. He met Nancy while she was attending college in St. Louis while serving as the assistant commandant at Western Military Academy. They married in 1956 and had what we loving called a "Leave it to Beaver" life! He started his career with the Aetna insurance company in Chicago, IL before moving to Hartford, CT, Wausau, WI, Cleveland, OH, Des Moines, IA and St Louis, MO. He moved back to Cleveland as manager of the Atlantic Insurance Company before joining Brooks and Stafford Insurance Agency. He was active in the Rocky River community, served as an elder in the RR Presbyterian Church and was a member of The Clifton Club. While he loved golfing, he was an avid skier spending many weekends in W. NY with family and friends. He travelled with Nancy and kids to the 48 contiguous states as well as trips to Europe, the Baltic countries, Russia, Canada, Mexico and the Panama Canal. The family is grateful to Traditions Hospice and the staff at Vitalia in Westlake, OH. Private Interment at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River, OH
